{Fabulous Friday Fetes} Character Parties

It’s hard to balance the desires of your child (in love with Spongebob Squarepants) with aesthetic sensibilities when it comes to birthday party time. How to throw a party that delights your offspring yet isn’t a two hour homage to a colorful cartoon character? The five parties here today all have a character or movie theme where the cartoons have not gotten in the way of a good design, and instead have helped them become something great!

A soft and magical wonderland was created for this Alice in Wonderland party, originally posted on Imprintables. All the white and touches of soft pink make it a little otherworldly–kind of like a trip through the rabbit hole.

{Hello Kitty Inspired}

Bird Crafts set up this darling little Hello Kitty inspired tea shoppe. There is a feeling of Hello Kitty…with out a single white cat in sight! The colors and patterns really give the impression of the character, and is sure to thrill any little girl. This printable party is available in her store.

{It’s a Jolly Holiday with Mary (Poppins)}

Absolutely LOVED this Mary Poppins party by Belleza e Luce and the unique twist she took on it. The “Jolly Holiday” scene was recreated, and wonderful little details spread through the party such as chalk paintings, a london skyline, penguin servers and straw hats for all the little guests.

Setting the Mood created the really spectacular Wonder Woman party for a lucky little girl. Wingler was the girl’s last name, so the theme had a nice little spin with “Wingler Woman!” The eye popping comic book colors and graphics made it feel straight out of the pages of a comic book!
