Every family has its own way of connecting with each other…one of our family’s favorite ways to do a little bonding is to have family game night. It always adds a little adventure to these evenings when we introduce a new game to our stash, and we were more than happy to try out the Hedbanz™ Electronic game together. We LOVE the original, and the electronic improvements are totally worth getting the upgrade!
Hedbanz™ is basically a game of “What am I?” One player wears a headband that gets a card put in it, and the headband wearer tries to guess what’s on the card. Now, in the original, you only got to ask yes/no questions. Hedbanz™ Electronic version has a few new twists that make it infinitely more fun. And funny.
Instead of just asking questions, there are three ways to play
- Ask “Yes” or “No” questions
- Describe It
- Act it out
I think my favorite was “act it out.” I promised not to post pictures of our friend Kelly here crawling around on all fours and then sprouting horns with her hands trying to act out “deer” because I’m nice. But I certainly got a great laugh at looking at those pictures. And maybe I laughed more than a few times. The new features on the electronic game really do make it more fun to play!
There is a little red box with a button that acts as your host. You press the button to start the game, and it says if red or blue team goes first, and decides what way that round will be played. Players hit the button as soon as they get their card correct, and the red box will even keep score! Score!
The game is different every time you play it, so it stays fresh, and keeps the family wanting to play again and again.
As soon as you get your card correct, it’s a good idea to get a little help putting a new one in your ever-so-stylish headband. Doing it alone will be funny for everyone else, so you can do that, too.
Not that I’m a neat freak, but one of the really fantastic features of this game (other than that it is hysterical) is that all the pieces fit back into the plastic red box–even the headbands! So much tidier than dealing with a big box and lot of pieces. Makes it totally portable to bring to visit Grandma.

And family game night is not family game night without a few munchies. We had Pull-Apart Pizza Rolls that take about 5 minutes to make for our game night. Here’s how to make them!
Easy Five Minute Pizza Rolls
- 1 can 8 count Grands Biscuits
- 2 Mozerella snack sticks cut into quarters
- 32 slices of pepperoni
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Jar of pizza sauce
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Flatten out one of the canned biscuits on a cutting board. Add four pepperoni to the center and one of the mozzarella stick quarters. Pull the edges towards the center to cover the cheese and meat and pinch the edges shut to form a ball.
Dip the pizza roll in the melted butter mix and place seam side down in a round baking pan. Mine was 9-inches.
Pop them in the oven for 23-27 minutes depending on your oven. I started checking them at about 23 minutes and watched for the tops to get nice and golden brown!
Serve with warmed-up pizza sauce on the side for dipping. SO yummy!
