{Real Party} Superhero Birthday – Aston’s Amazing Day

{Real Party} Superhero Birthday – Aston’s Amazing Day

Last year, Lili from Swanky :: Chic :: Fete  created an amazing soccer birthday party for her little man Aston’s 4th birthday. I was more than excited to be able to be a part of her creative process to mark the occasion for Aston turning 5! This year, Aston is into super powers. There wasn’t a favorite superhero, per se, so Lili decided to celebrate all of them and used the Superhero printable set as a jumping off point.

What is really great about the party Lilli prepared is that not only did she have this party at a facility away from home, but she also used a lot of her son’s superhero things like lunch boxes and organizers from home to create her displays. She also shows that parties at venues don’t have to be the same-old-same-old, and there is definitely room to add your own bit of personality to the party!

For party favors, she filled yellow gable boxes with crayons, superhero pens/pencils, masks, coloring sheets. The Planet WOW! venue was filled with  bounce houses and games to the kids (super boys and super girls alike) could go wild and just have fun. From the amazing cake to the personalized t-shirts and thoughtful favor boxes, this party is just super!

how do you manage the vivid red color in the buttercream?

I believe those cupcakes came from a bakery--so I am unsure how to answer that! But from what I understand, vivid red frosting is something you are better off buying as red coloring will make your frosting bitter if you use too much!

The number 5 was indeed made out of fondant :)

Love the cake and party favors! Where did you get the number "5" from?

They really are excellent, aren't they? It looks like that "5" is made out of fondant!
