boy fairy tale party-1

We were so excited to have Elissa of One Stone Events contribute to the summer issue of Festivities Magazine. Her fairy tale mash-up party is definitely a new favorite of mine! I worked with her to develop some new, unique printables for her event, and Nicole of Tikkido.com helped with darling Peter Pan inspired bunting and Pan hats. Of course, there was a whole cast of talented vendors that contributed to this incredible party! You can see more pictures and where to find all these amazing products on Elissa’s post about her party here.

These invitations were so much fun to create. I wrote a poem about feathers for the top and some other whimsical copy and sized them so Elissa could roll them up and stick them in a bottle to deliver.

There are so so many more pictures to see of this boy’s fairy tale mash up party. It’s a Peter Pan party, big bad wolf party, and three little pigs party all rolled into one! There was a backyard movie complete with tents for “camping out,” baskets for each family to dine al fresco, and crafts and favors for the ids that were something got see! Again, amazing job, Elissa, we were so happy to have you as part of our summer issue.

motorcycle low-50

My son's birthday party is my favorite one that I throw all year. Boy parties are challenging. No pink, no fluff, just down and dirty wholesome boy goodness. That can be fun if you let it! After some gentle steering from his father, our kiddo was quite enthusiastic about paying homage to motorcycles. For weeks before (and after!) the party all conversations focused around motorcycles in one way or { Read More! }

Aston2012004

Last year, Lili from Swanky :: Chic :: Fete  created an amazing soccer birthday party for her little man Aston's 4th birthday. I was more than excited to be able to be a part of her creative process to mark the occasion for Aston turning 5! This year, Aston is into super powers. There wasn't a favorite superhero, per se, so Lili decided to celebrate all of them and used the Superhero printable { Read More! }

  Nicole from Tradewind Tiaras is the most incredible DIYer I know. Every party she throws has the most amazing handcrafted details that not only shows her talent, but her love for what she does and the people that she celebrates. I was truly honored to be able to  help a bit with her daughter's Bright Butterfly party. Butterflies was definitely the theme for the party--her { Read More! }

I recently had the pleasure of working with Carolyn Horton of CHS Creative Productions to create designs to match a bedding set for an intimate shower for a family member. Although it was held during a particularly busy time for Carolyn, the sweet touches she made for the guests made it extra special for the mom-to-be. My favorite detail are the fondant toppers made by Lynlee's Petite Cakes--so { Read More! }

My daughter's 5th birthday party was this past weekend, where we all made lots of birthday wishes. After Madeline has watched all the parties I've worked on this year and pined for her own, it was very important that I get this party right for her! There was so much more than decorations and invitations that went into making turning 5 magical for her with all the family and friends that got { Read More! }

beach baby photoshoot - 20

Sandy toes and sunkissed cheeks are always the best part about an adventure at the beach, and I just couldn't think of a better way to celebrate a little beach baby's birthday than to be out on the sand. After meeting at the Central Florida Martha Stewart Dreamers into Doers event, Jennifer from Party Dreamz started to working on this "Beach Baby Birthday" piece. We designed a table setting and { Read More! }

I'm excited to show off my new line of party ware: Monkey Business! Our little monkey man is cute and cuddly and completely customizable. He started out as a hand drawn picture, then with a little magic, we got him to hop onto our invitations, cupcake toppers and wrappers.  He works for bananas, but I hear he really loves birthday cake. As any good southern hostess does, I'm leaving my { Read More! }
