Easter always brings to mind bright colors, bountiful blooms and warm fuzzy chicks and bunnies. To celebrate all things spring, we teamed up with the talented ladies Courtney and Lindsey at Charming Whimsy and created some inspirational ideas to share! You may remember Courtney from her really fabulous carrot patch cupcakes she shared with us last year. They were so great, we had to make them again!

Thanks to Jill Luecht Photography for photo editing our pictures.

I just loved this idea for egg charms–a neat way to add a little bling to your egg displays! You can find these and the full-sized bracelets in the Charming Whimsy shop.

The bouquet of marshmallow bunny pops were a big hit with the kids!

Little boxes of favors and treat bags with bunny cookies were on the table along side personalized egg centerpieces. To make these, I just used a piece of foam in the bottom of a bucket from Target’s dollar bin, and some sparkly eggs on a stick from the dollar store. Finishing them off is a piece of honeycomb tissue paper grass I cut into sections.

Lindsey made beautiful spring bags, perfect for little girls’ easter baskets or as an accessory for Easter outfits. They also make great small purses!

The super-cute free bunny photo props we designed last year are still available for download here.
For a tutorial on how to make these sweet pouch gift bags, see the Charming Whimsy website!
The printables in this party are now available in the shop!

Love is in the Air!

While we wait for some photos for this year's new Valentines set from a sweet shoot by Southern Belle's Charm, I thought it would be a great idea to walk down Valentines memory lane! Last year, I designed these little valentines and envelopes for Sandra Downy at The White Library.  They are a free printable, and you can download the cards here and envelopes here!   Need some { Read More! }

It's one of my very favorite things to get pictures from cool client parties, and it's even more incredible when those clients are colleagues that I admire! Melissa at Buckets of Grace thought on the Gingerbread Christmas Cookie printables for an entire year before she hosted her family gingerbread house party. And I just love all the details she came up with! I just love what she { Read More! }

christmas list

The holiday season is a busy bustling time--when children spend a lot of time not in school. And I have to have to keep them busy so it's also a happy holiday season! Over the summer we had a list of  "50 fun things to do this summer" (we got the idea from another blog--thanks whoever you are!) and the  kids had such a great time crossing each item off the list. It seemed like a great way to { Read More! }

Yesterday there was a little Halloween party at my house for the kids in the Mom's club I belong to. 25 of them showed up all under the age of 5. And did I mention they only gave me $50 to spend? I spent that on hot dogs, 2 activities, water, and a few prizes. Everything was decorated from what I had on hand. But the really great thing about the under 5 set is that they are easily entertained by { Read More! }

Having a fall birthday is a perfect reason to celebrate pumpkin style! The fall has it’s own spectrum of wonderful decorations that make a seasonal ‘Little Pumpkin’ party so much more fun. Ellen of Ellen Bessette Events styled this fabulous homage to the pumpkin patch for our little Maddy. There were lots of treats, cider, s’mores, apple bobbing, and of course pumpkins. Thank you to Jill { Read More! }

A Bewitching Halloween

bewitching candy jar

Double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble...full of candy and sweet treats! We were completely bewitched by our Halloween photoshoot this year with all the beautiful craftsmanship from our contributors and gorgeous sweet work from some very talented bakers. It's always truly amazing to me when you hand over a concept in a graphic where the creativity leads! This year’s { Read More! }

I recently had the pleasure of working with Carolyn Horton of CHS Creative Productions to create designs to match a bedding set for an intimate shower for a family member. Although it was held during a particularly busy time for Carolyn, the sweet touches she made for the guests made it extra special for the mom-to-be. My favorite detail are the fondant toppers made by Lynlee's Petite Cakes--so { Read More! }

Not every truly memorable celebration has to be over the top with an abundance of details, decorations and food. Those are plenty fun, too, but I wanted to show that small family parties can have a little dazzle without being too much work! I know at my house we have many more of these little celebrations than the big ornate affairs, and it's fun to make them a bit special. Our dear friend { Read More! }
