journey of love-14

Operation Shower is an organization whose work is near and dear to my heart. Growing up a military kid myself, I’ve seen what sacrifices military wives along with the rest of their family units must make while their soldiers are away. It’s nice the there are groups out there like Operation Shower that can bring a little love and caring and appreciation to military moms-to-be while spouses are out on deployment by hosting beautiful baby showers that provide everything a new little one needs.

But the fact is, they need a lot of support from the rest of us in order to keep their baby showers going! No matter how many ways you slice it, party props, food and venues aren’t free, and the wonderful sponsorships they have don’t cover 100% of what they need to keep throwing showers. In this season of giving, and in thanksgiving for the freedoms we are so fortunate to have, consider a donation through Operation Shower’s Party. Support. Love. initiative. You will touch the lives of other mothers like you will never know! You can check out the organization’s YouTube channel to see just how much your donations are appreciated.

Speaking of touching lives, I had the chance to help out with a shower in Ponte Vedra Beach in September. It was such fun working on the graphics for this “Journey of Love”; the theme was based around some vintage travel postcards to beachy destinations. But I will let the pictures speak for themselves!

beside the seaside-13

It is the time of year -- here in the states at least -- where beach themed parties become wildly popular, much like our pink and yellow beach baby birthday party. Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of working with an amazing party crafting mom, Zoe, on a special coral and yellow beach baby party for her little girl izzy. some of my favorite things frontiers party: Octopus pops-so { Read More! }

Forty years is a long time. Especially when you're talking about being married. My parents recently made it to that milestone--and we (their children) are very lucky to have such role models in our lives. To celebrate their 40th anniversary, we held a casual sit down dinner party for 16 people out in my parent's beautiful backyard. The inspiration for this event came from the green of the early { Read More! }

boy fairy tale party-1

We were so excited to have Elissa of One Stone Events contribute to the summer issue of Festivities Magazine. Her fairy tale mash-up party is definitely a new favorite of mine! I worked with her to develop some new, unique printables for her event, and Nicole of helped with darling Peter Pan inspired bunting and Pan hats. Of course, there was a whole cast of talented vendors that { Read More! }

31 Star Wars Glam Jedi Training certificate 2

Star Wars is NOT just for boys. I would venture to say I know about as many little girls in love with these movies as little boys. And what I adore about little girls who love Star Wars is that they totally take a very masculine movie and twist into something very much their own. Like Amanda...who wanted a Star Wars Spa Party. Jedi training, nail painting and Princess Leia all in one fun package. { Read More! }

mustache baby shower-13

My friend Richelle is just one of those people that is a ray of sunshine wherever she goes and lights up the lives of those around her. I'm guessing it's all the sun and water she got growing up in the Florida Keys. The minute she let us know she was expecting another little one, I got excited to start planning out her baby shower. Richelle thought the whole idea of these mustache parties was a { Read More! }

motorcycle low-50

My son's birthday party is my favorite one that I throw all year. Boy parties are challenging. No pink, no fluff, just down and dirty wholesome boy goodness. That can be fun if you let it! After some gentle steering from his father, our kiddo was quite enthusiastic about paying homage to motorcycles. For weeks before (and after!) the party all conversations focused around motorcycles in one way or { Read More! }
