An easy Valentine craft is an ideal way to spruce up your space for the holidays without breaking the bank or spending an enormous amount of time making something. Paper heart garlands cost a few sheets of cardstock and some baker’s twine–all in all an inexpensive decoration!
I’ve set up a file in Cricut Design Space to make the garlands–when you click “Make,” there are enough hearts to fill a 12x12in sheet perfectly. The holes are already placed on the hearts, so you really just have to cut the hearts on your machine, then thread them on baker’s twine.
You can hang them as curtains in single strands, or like bunting.
I used them as a bit of decoration for my Baby Yoda Valentines Day party ideas in single hanging strands. Be sure to check out that post for more Valentines Day Craft ideas!
Sometimes (really, it’s OFTEN) you get what you pay for when it comes to paper. I bought some $2/pack paper and half of it ripped like this no matter the setting I put it on when I was cutting it with my Cricut Machine. Cricut paper can be a little more if you don’t get it on sale ((watch my Facebook page–I tell you about the really GREAT Cricut sales when they come through!!)) but it cuts perfect every time and has a great feel to it. Which is something maybe sounds a little weird if you are not a paper nerd like I am, but paper feel means a ton! Cricut paper just has better fibers and a more quality construction.
Full disclosure — I am affiliated with Cricut, but I promise I don’t ever advise the purchase of inferior products on my site; I only show items I use myself!
So go make paper heart garlands with abandon! String them everywhere! Make Valentine’s Day great again! Then come back here and tell me all about it–I love hearing about your crafty triumphs!!
