Glitter Light Bulb Garland + Printable

Glitter Light Bulb Garland + Printable

It’s craft lightning time again! That means I’m offering up one super easy craft that takes less that 15 minutes to make (not including drying time) as part of a big bloggy group, so there’s more than just one fast Christmas craft out there for you to pick up. I’ve got a really fun glitter light bulb garland to share with you, complete with free printables, that will make a spunky addition to your Christmas decor.

I recently used these tiny bulbs to decorated some stars and trees I painted for a coffee bar (you can see that post here). They are SO darling. I think they’re also great as a larger sized garland, so I’m including those in the printable files as well!

One or two affiliate links are ahead–they cost you nothing, but help keep this content free!

How to make a Glitter Light Bulb Garland

materials:

Let’s do this thing!

Step 1. Print and cut out your bulbs. If you are armed with a pair of scissors, have at it! The smaller the bulb, the trickier to cut, but you can do it!

If you’re a Cricut user, import the jpg as a print and cut file and erase the white. You’ll notice you only get small and large options for files; you’ll have to scale the large one to the size you want either way, so it’s a hard working file for you.

Step 2. GLITTER! Yes, everyone’s favorite craft supply! Paint a little glue onto the bulb part of each light, then dip into the glitter. Set it aside to dry completely. You can use a spray sealer at this point to make sure the glitter doesn’t shed everywhere (what’s the fun in that???), just be sure to cover up the non-glitter part when you do so or you’ll run the printer ink in the top of the bulb.

Step 3. Glue to string or ribbon. Once your bulbs are dry, just glue them to a string or ribbon. For speediness sake, I’d use a bit of hot glue, but the adhesive choice is up to you.

Hang your beautiful garland for all to see!

These cuties will also make great decoration for gifts, dessert jars, etc. etc. Go crazy!
