This post is sponsored by Tiny Prints, but all thoughts, feelings and ideas are my own!
The moment you get that piece of paper that took so many long hours and so much effort to earn, you feel like a million bucks. If there were ever an accomplishment to celebrate, graduating from any institution or program is one of them. Everyone is going to want to lend the new graduate their heartfelt congratulations–and if you’re having a party? Memorialize those sentiments with a Graduation Wishes Memory Frame.
It will take longer to shop for this project than it will to put it together! First, stop by Tiny Prints to pick out your graduation announcement. They’ve got a wildly diverse variety of announcements to choose from; there is going to be one there that you’ll love!
This year Tiny Prints has totally on trend and sublimely stylish graduation stationery with foil-stamped designs, letterpress designs and if you’re going all out there are beautiful matching envelope liners and envelope colors.
This memory frame craft can serve as the guest book for your graduation party; every one signs, and leave a few well-wishes for the graduate.
Decorate the frame with the graduate’s year for a little extra customization. These are simple wooden letters found at the craft store. This particular bunch came white already (score!) but they are all easily paintable to match your frame’s style.
Of course, a framed and matted Tiny Prints invitation could also be used for weddings, birthdays or any other celebration in your life.
How to make a Graduation Wishes Memory Frame
When you’re choosing the matting for your invitation, be sure to choose one that has the center hole cut to the size of your invitation. There are square designs available at Tiny Prints, so if you go that route, be sure to adjust the size of your frame and matting! The instructions below are for a standard 5×7 invitation.
- 11x14in frame
- 11x14in white matting with 5×7 opening
- Tiny Prints graduation announcement
- Wooden numbers (painted to match invitation and frame)
Putting this party detail together takes about 5 minutes. Just tape your graduation announcement (or party invitation) to the opening of the matting. The announcement shown here is the Foil Stamped Elegant Academia Graduation Party Invitation with Rounded Trim.
Remove the glass from the frame (people will want to write on the matting, yo) and place and secure the matting in the frame.
If you choose to further embellish the frame, glue the graduate’s year to the side of the frame with a few wooden numbers. Be sure to have the number’s colors match the rest of your piece.
At your event, you’ll want to have a nice pen available to sign the matting. Personally, I love these graphic pens. They’re archival ink, and they’re what artists use for drawings.
