St. Patrick’s Day Survival Kit – Free Printable!

St. Patrick's Day free printable

St. Patrick’s Day is rapidly approaching, and our house is preparing for the onslaught of leprechauns (traps are made), pincher fingers (green shirts located) and a bit of revelry with our friends (green…ahem…beverages. check!) For a little tongue and cheek fun, I made up a “survival kit” for the day complete with all the little things you might need to celebrate.* Download here!

*Green…ahem…beverages not included.

St. Patrick's Day free printable - Irish Blessing

I don’t know about you, but I know a million toasts, but the minute someone calls me out to give one, all of them flee my head. To survive a day full of toasting, there is a pocket-sized Irish blessing to take along.

And heavens forbid you get caught without green! Those crazy people that love to give out pinches will hunt you down and leave tiny little bruises all over. Not that I’ve ever done that. (Might want to move before lightning strikes, dear reader.)  Scroll down on some other ideas on how to use these 3″ circles. A safety pin will work just fine to attach to your clothing as is, or you can always make a big fancy deal out of them.

Everyone knows there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow…so of course one was included. I hear they attract leprechauns, so if you can’t find the gold near the rainbow, you can use the rainbow as bait and catch one of those wiley critters.

It seems no party is complete without a stripy straw (not included) and a cheery straw flag. I’ve got to agree, it did make the package just a little more festive.

And it certainly improved my enjoyment of my green…ahem…beverage. A definite St. Patrick’s Day must.

Here we are all packaged up. Just use a 4 inch wide cellophane bag to fit everything in. My bag was 9 inches long for those of you wondering.

There were some chocolate coins hanging around the house, so I thought they would make a festive addition.

I’m sealing this one up well, and dropping it in the mail to my very dear (and very Irish) friend Erin. She lives on the left coast and looks forward to St. Pat’s all year. Hope this brings a smile to her face!

If you want to get all fancy with your little bit of pinch-proofing, here’s an easy way to do that. Use a stiff (heavy paper) 4 inch circle and hot glue pleats around the edges. I drew a circle in the middle so I would have a guide where to lay down the ribbon.

Ta-da! St. Patrick’s Day fabulousness. I think I’ll make my husband wear it to work. He will totally love it.
