Thanksgiving Tree of Thanks Free Printables

Thanksgiving Tree of Thanks Free Printables
Years ago–six to be exact–I posted up one of the first ideas for a kid’s table at Thanksgiving. This was pretty new ground back then — and boy how far we’ve come! I still love that table–the ideas were simple and easy to do among all the cooking and cleaning that seems to trail the holiday.

What that post remains most known for is the paper “Tree of Thanks” that served as the centerpiece. Because I appreciate all of you who have made the last five years of blogging possible, I ‘m spreading a little gratitude by offering the thankful tree as a free printable this Thanksgiving.
AND–I’m going to show you step by step how to put it together.  The materials are inexpensive (paper + glue) but they do take a bit of time to cut out.

Thanksgiving Tree of Thanks Materials

Print out all the free printable files to the white card stock. With a glue stick, adhere one of the tree pieces to the front of each of the pieces of foam core. Turn the foam core over and paste the brown card stock on the back of each foam core. Glue the red card stock to the back of the leaf print out.
Now cut! Yes, each piece will need to be cut out. I recommend using a hot knife for the foam core as it will make it infinitely easier to do. If you don’t have one, get friendly with your exacto knife. After you’re done cutting, slide the two pieces together along their slits. The foam core will make the tree pretty sturdy to stand on its own.

The leaves can be cut out with scissors. After you’re finished with them, punch a hole in the top of each leaf and string a loop of ribbon through. The leaves will hang from the branches of the tree with the ribbon.

Before you start hanging leaves, don’t forget to write a thought on each one about what you are thankful for–my readers are definitely on one of mine! With great gratitude, I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving season!
