Recently I worked with Natalie at Southern Belle’s Charm to help create what turned out to be an incredibly unique and fun party. The little guest of honor’s favorite book was “I Stink” – a book by Kate McMullan all about GARBAGE.
And Natalie had a hay day coming up with all sorts of garbage-related party goodies, from book invitations to trashy wreaths, to fly shaped cake pops and trash can favors. Here are a few pictures from the party, but be sure to pop by her site to see the rest!

I’d say it was one trashy garbage truck party, all in all, and from what I hear, the birthday boy couldn’t have been happier!

Can you please tell me how you made the trash wreath? Thought I might use them as a centerpiece for my grandsons 5th birthday party. He too is in Essex with garbage and recycling trucks.
Thank you Grandma Susan.

I love that kids still love this story! I didn't make the wreath, though, so can't be of much help there. :(

I know you posted this blog awhile ago.... But I am wondering where you found the mini cans. I can't find them like that in bulk anywhere! I am throwing my 2 boys a garbage themed birthday party this year and I am in love with these. Thank you so much!

I'm also looking for the mini trash cans in bulk. I can't seem to find them online, only plastic assorted colors sold by the dozen. Please advise, I'm throwing my son's 1st bday, and I love them for the candy station.
Please Help! Thank you

Oh that is just so cute!! My cousin always said he wanted to be a garbage man. He would have loved this party theme some 40 years ago.
