A Tiny Bit of Typography {Free Fonts}

We’re crazy about fonts at Frog Prince. It’s totally like Christmas every time we get a new one. And since we’re all about sharing the love, our designer extraordinary Ashley has found a few favorite fonts that make it like Christmas morn.  I just love that swirl on Sail! Here is where you can find them:

Tuscan MF Condensed  |  Showboat  |  Sail

Calamity Jane  |  Villa Didot  |  QumpellkaNo12

Arwen  |  Coventry Garden  |  Bolton

Hill House

Have had several opportunities to download fonts but then don't know what to do with them. Am digitally challenged - embarrassing. Did download/print out font guide on Font Squirrel, couldn't hurt. Unable to download 5 or 6 fonts offered - kept telling me some kind of error, our internet here stinks, even more out where we live. Grand Junction keeps making excuses but yet they are going to spend 50k for use survey for internet.. With all complaints city council has had - big time - spend money on getting more power here, not on wasteful survey. Am charged for 60 mp's, yeah right. Get so frustrated, as have so many people here. I pay $61. month to Hughes Net, only other option is Century Link which was worse, had for 6 yrs.. Too much of time can't even get online and when I do is so slow grrrr. Had better service in MT out in boonies. No cable out here and people in town complain constantly about problems with cable they have. Seems pretty darned lame for the times. Sorry for rant, So fed up paying for something not able to get. Thanks so much for sharing great font's, sure do appreciate. Have great week

Just a heads up, the Hill House font link doesn't work or the font no longer exists.

I'm new to the font-hoarding/typography world but I so admire the art form (I completely believe its art!) Just wanted to get some feedback on using them. I'm so afraid to use something I'm not supposed to, any thoughts or insights? I've read on a few font websites' FAQ section where a font may say its free in the brief description, but that its not a guarantee that its actually free and the licensing texts are so hard to understand (some of them). I just want to make sure I'm not improperly using anyone's work. Also what does Donationware mean? You CAN donate or you have to to use it? I'm happy to do so by the way. Sorry long list of questions!

Each of the fonts will usually say how they intend for the font to be used once you download. Just read the fine print! :)
