Before we start gearing up for Christmas, I want to take a moment and recognize a very important holiday–Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for, me especially, I hate that it doesn’t get the press that other holidays do.
Last year, I did a series on preparing a place for kids a thanksgiving. They never seem to get to sit with the big people, so I made them a place all of their own with activities and ideas to make it a little more fun for them and teach them a tad about the art of thankfulness. You can find links to this series here:

And to show my gratitude to you, my readers, here is a little something from the Thanksgiving set that was also published in Yum Food & Fun for Kids magazine…

Many thanks for these printables. I didn't have time to create my own this year. Filling out "What I'm Thankful" cards has been a tradition around our Thanksgiving dinner table for many years. Everyone fills our several cards and puts them in a pot. We then pass the pot around the table drawing out a card at a time and reading it aloud. Then the whole table has to guess who wrote it. It is a great way to keep the kids engaged and at the table well after they have finished eating!
