Baby Shower Diaper Cakes and Tissue Tassel Garlands

Sometimes I know my own blog doesn’t show it, but I do write an awful lot of blog posts and articles! I have a couple of great tutorials I recently wrote to share with you. My brother and his wife are going to have a baby soon, so I’ve started crafting up some fun decorations for their shower and showing how I’m doing it along the way.

Over at Project Nursery, I posted a tutorial on how to make the super trendy tissue tassel garlands. These take time, but they are so cute and make such a great visual impact when they’re up! And when you’re done with the shower, the mom-to-be can hang them up in the nursery. See my post at Project Nursery HERE.

One of my newer writing jobs is over at Babyshower.com. This site is run by Right Start Baby Gear, so they know babies! This month, I am offering up a great post on making that baby shower staple–the diaper cake. I remember receiving a diaper cake that had to take that very thoughtful gift giver absolutely ages to make rolling up and tying all those individual diapers. And it took me ages to untie them all and flatten them out. The method I show here is way easier than all that and will take you less than 30 minutes to make. I’m planning to send this diaper cake along as a centerpiece for the tables at my sister-in-law’s shower. Click here to see the post!
