Strawberries are by far one of my favorite food groups, so when Driscolli’s asked me to come up with a crafty berry project, I was more than happy to help out! For the christmas season, I designed these berry stars. These would be perfect placed int he center of a place setting, or in a little pot for a centerpiece. You could even float these on top of some whipped cream or in a meringue for a stellar centerpiece!
EASY is really my favorite kind of craft, and that is exactly what these stars are to make.
MATERIALS:
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Melted white chocolate
- Toothpicks
Step 1. Hull (take the green part off) and wash the strawberries. You’ll need six total all of a similar size. Place one in the center pointy end up and insert toothpicks in the ends and into the center strawberry to make a star shape.
Step 2. Dip the bottoms of the blueberries in white chocolate (melted according to the package instructions) and place in the center of the star to cover the gaps.
Step 3. Pipe a design on top of your berry star with the melted white chocolate. I used a parchment paper triangle to do this.
Then get decorating! Hope you enjoy this little something different and sweet for your table this season.
