Hosting a luau party? Here’s an idea for a tiny bite dessert that is yummy and in-theme: Blue Hawaiian Milkshake Shots. Originally, they were made during our Family Movie Night Luau and we called them “fish juice” to go with some schtick in the movie Surf’s Up 2. But they’re great for a regular luau party as well. Get your blender ready!

Ingredients/Materials:
- 2.5 oz partfait glasses (buy them here)
- Bamboo straws (buy them here)
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon blue jello dry mix (buy it here)
- Whipped cream
- Swedish fish (buy it here)
- Blender (this is the one I use)
Before you mix anything, you really want to make sure that your parfait glasses, bamboo straws and whipped cream are all ready to go. Ice cream melts fast, and you’ll need to serve these quickly!
You won’t need a regular sized straw for these, so it’s ok to cut them in half for serving. But check them to the size of your glasses before you do any cutting.
In your blender, put the ice cream, milk, dry Jello mix and blend until smooth. I really love the single-serving bullet-type blenders. This recipe will make exactly 6 shot glass milkshakes, and the clean-up is so much easier than the big bulky blender. Of course, if you’re serving a big crowd, bust out your big blender and double (or triple) the recipe.
Pour milkshake into each of the 2.5 oz parfait glasses to almost near the top. Gotta leave room for the next bit!
Top each milkshake shot with whipped cream and a Swedish Fish.
Serve to your grateful party guests! It’s just the right amount of sweet treat…with a chewy fish snack after.
