Tiny Frog Prince 1st Birthday Invitations

I love how designs evolve while you are working on them. I originally envisioned this as a 5×7 flat card (to make it simple) but ended up getting a bit carried away with myself and got a 4-panel fold booklet instead.

The frog prince colors I chose are apple green and tiffany blue (royal, don’tcha think?). Each panel shows Bubby growing up over the year – at 1, 4, 7, and 11 months. We had a lot of fun taking his picture every month this year! The frogs I hand drew then scanned in and spent some time making them into vector illustrations. The invitations are tied closed with three separate ribbons and a label placed on top to give it a storybook feel.
I really believe the invitation sets the tone for the party you’re having, and I’m hoping that this one says “magical!” If you’d like some of these for your little prince, check out my Etsy store here.
