Not everyone is lucky enough, or unlucky enough, depending on how you look at it, to live in the snow. Here in Florida, with highs in the 80’s this past week, Christmas feels like it should still be months instead of days away. The feeling of Christmas will just have to come from the decorations we surround ourselves with, rather than by the weather. Nicole at TikkiDo.com, demonstrates very easy and creative ways to bring that Christmas feeling to wherever you may be this holiday season.
To create a magical sight, Nicole suggests a fresh cut Christmas tree decorated with homemade popcorn garland and simple ball ornaments with items found on nature walks and of course, a little glitter.
Nicole made this ornament, inspired by the Cardinal Printables Gift Wrap Set found in my Etsy shop.
Bring the outdoors in! Nicole made her own fresh garland from greenery she found while out hiking with the family.
Make an easy breakfast treat, like this Pecan Sticky Bun, to fill the air with the aroma of sweet sugar and cinnamon. She includes the recipe and a tutorial here.
Make a Hot Chocolate Bar using items around your house. Nicole used a festive bedspread as a table cloth to transform a simple bookcase. My favorite part is the faux chalk board announcing the Hot Cocoa. It is just a piece of black poster board and white chalk.
Add adorable homemade mini marshmallows to your cup of Cocoa and end your evening with a magical twist.

I've really been thinking about a hot chocolate bar this season. You're convincing me that it's a good idea. You have been so inspirational Paula, thank you!
