I’ve been hearing it quite a bit this year: my kid thinks he’s too old (or cool) to give out classroom Valentines. Tween Valentines are tricky; you can’t do anything too little-kiddish and the options for something a bit more mature are a little limited.  This Free Printable Sunglass Valentine might check a few of the right boxes–sunglasses are always cool, and a tag with a funky design is always going to be a hit.

The sunglasses you’re going to have to pick up yourself; this time of year they are all over the stores in heart or wayfarer shape. I’ve included an (affiliate) link for you to start your Valentine sunglass hunt if you don’t want to leave your house. The actual making of these Valentines is crazy easy. It’s exactly a cut and a staple to make them happen.

how to make sunglasses classroom valentines

Materials:

• Sunglasses (buy them here)
• Free printable Valentine for sunglasses (download here)
• White cardstock

You’ll download the printable file (download here), print the file to a heavy weight white card stock, then cut out the tag.

I’m going to recommend filling out the “to” and “from” before you attach the tag to the sunglasses. It’s just easier to write on when the paper is flat. After your sunglass Valentine is addressed, just fold the tag over the middle of the sunglasses and either glue it together with a glue-stick or use your stapler to close shut the sides.
