Do you have any Star Wars fans in your house? I do. That person may be me, so when Cricut came out with a whole bunch of new Star Wars clip art, I was WAY excited. Immediately I fired up my machine and made a funny Princess Leia t-shirt (and a few other designs just because!) There are a few affiliate links ahead. Keeping the servers on, guys!
Princess Leia really does have the best buns in the galaxy. Which made this image perfect for a gym shirt.
It’s even better on! Thank you to my lovely friend Vi for modeling for me.
She said she liked Leia the rebel a bit more. I let her take this one home because she liked it SO much. I’ll have the pattern for this one for you too later in the post.
How to make a princess leia “best buns in the galaxy” t-shirt
So get on with how to make this crazy t-shirt already, right??? I’ve made it completely easy for you to use the Cricut clip art. Yes, you do still have to buy the image, but it’s $1.99 so not a bank breaker. The original clip art has been sliced up a bit to make this Princess Leia t-shirt image, but you’ll have access to the original as well that looks completely different!

From there, it’s pretty simple! I used the silver SportFlex Iron-on Vinyl (my faaaaaavorite vinyl EVER!) for my gym shirt.
Remember to hit “mirror” before you cut it out. You ruin a few rolls of vinyl before you always check, I know! Weed and place on your t-shirt or tank top.
Iron that bad boy on! I really love my EasyPress, too. I promise they don’t pay me to say that. It really does make these projects a breeze.
Once the vinyl cools off a little, remove the carrier sheet and your funny Princess Leia t-shirt is ready to wear.

I made a few other variations of the circle Princess Leia t-shirt. One of them was Leia and the word “REBEL.” She is one of my favorite rebels, for sure.

I used regular iron-on vinyl for this project–black for Leia and pink for “Rebel.” But use whatever colors speak to you! Iron the Leia in a circle down first and remove the carrier sheet (but keep it!)
Put your “Rebel” down over the Leia image wherever you may want it. Put Prince Leia’s carrier sheet back on before you iron on the Rebel bit so you don’t melt any vinyl into your iron.
One more star wars t-shirt!
This one didn’t actually make it onto a t-shirt, but I think it’s pretty cute, too.
