{New to Shop} It’s Hanukkah!

After speaking with Amy at Blowout Party and Corinn at Corley Designs about the holiday and what decorations are involved, I really wish there were more posts dedicated to Hanukkah – it’s traditions and meanings are truly beautiful! With the help of Ashley, my new design frog, I put together a simple Hanukkah display and included a few DIY projects. Thanks to Ashley, the printables seen here are now available in the Frog Prince Paperie Store.

I used an un-traditional menorah for my display–it is eight votive cups for the eight days, with a center “helper” candle. I filled the cups with sugar to help hold them in place! Sparkly scrap book paper created the base. This is a great little project for the classroom, or for parents wanting to spread some light on other cultures and traditions for their children. It can all be put away or used for something else after the display is done.

I’ve been dying to use donuts in a display since seeing the Purple Pug’s Dinosaur and Donuts party. I was thrilled to find out donuts were Hanukkah food! The oil for frying, like the oil used for lights, is the significant part.

Included in the printable pack are some neat paper craft dreidels, perfect for filling with gelt or other treats!

Another wonderful item included in the pack are these milk carton boxes – one for every day of Hanukkah.

Apothecary jars filled with gold, blue and silver bulbs created a nice back drop for the display. The little candy offering were served in regular white cupcake wrappers dropped inside printed cupcake wrappers.

Thanks again to all who helped with this post, and Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate!

The collection is available here!

  8. Hi! I love what you have done here! I am putting together a blog post featuring Hanukkah tablescapes, and I will of course be sharing this one! I will send you the link as soon as it’s posted! not2shabbey.com

  9. Beautiful display! Found your page by searching “Hanukkah display”. I think you’re on point, except for the apothecary jars with “bulbs” or what appears to be Cheistmas ornaments. While they are pretty, Christmad ornents have nothing to do with Hanukkah and are a symbol of Christmas.
