33 Star Wars Glam Two Princesses 2

Star Wars is NOT just for boys. I would venture to say I know about as many little girls in love with these movies as little boys. And what I adore about little girls who love Star Wars is that they totally take a very masculine movie and twist into something very much their own. Like Amanda…who wanted a Star Wars Spa Party. Jedi training, nail painting and Princess Leia all in one fun package. Posh Productions, LLC orchestrated this out-of-this-world event. You can see more pictures on her website here!

Nathalie from Angelina's Dream Parties contacted me about helping with her daughter's birthday party to be held in Colombia. She flew from New York to have this beautiful party for her daughter among family. Even with all the travel, there was no detail left undone. I love her fabulously colorful and airy backdrop and the bugs, butterflies and birds all over. How cute { Read More! }

Shake It Up Party

21

One of my favorite things is getting fabulous party pics from talented moms out there! When Alexis adapted our Dance Party printables seen in the last post for a Shake It Up birthday party (that her daughter Isabella LOVED!) I was excited, but these pictures were the frosting on the cake. How fabulous are those hot pink tablecloths and glittery balls? I also loved the creative way { Read More! }

NewBalloons101-1

Nothing beats a balloon at a party, so what could be better than making it the overall theme of your next celebration?  It's another sure-fire party delight for guests young and ah...not-so-old. Nicole at Tikkido.com created this spectacular event for the first issue of Festivities Magazine. There is nothing tricky to creating a banner and printing a few cupcake toppers. You can { Read More! }

pancake low-1

One of our goals in creating Festivities Magazine was to provide some inspiration for parties that don't go all the way over the top and only take a few hours to craft. And will fit into about any budget! For our breakfast-based "Pancake and Pajamas" birthday party, I started with a pretty blank canvas -- white walls and furniture.  I added in some stands and Blumeboxes I had topped with plates, { Read More! }

maddies spa party-5

After seeing everything that goes on with mom's job all year long, my daughter Madeline takes her birthday very seriously. All the bells and whistles must be pulled out and there must be much celebrating--and cake--involved in whatever we do. This year, Maddie wanted to do something besides the at-home parties we've done for the last few years. Of course this was a bit scary for me, as { Read More! }

streamer chandy1-1

I ran across the idea for these streamer chandeliers on Pinterest one day. The original was huge and shrug from the very top of a giant tent for a wedding. Most people i know wouldn't have a need at their parties for something that big, so i came up with this scaled down version that adds a great punch of inexpensive color to party decor. Supplies 12 inch embroidery hoop 3 rolls crepe paper { Read More! }

green-shoot-23web

With Earth Day upon us, I thought I'd finally publish my "green" party from last summer that was done as part of Sparkling Design Event's $100 design challenge. I managed to do this eco-friendly party for $58. The whole party was created from  materials found around the house, recycled, or reusable. And to put me on a level playing field with all the moms out there that might want to try this at { Read More! }

baby love baby shower desserts

My good friend Karrie moved way up north away from her friends not too long ago and started working on her 3rd child. We were thrilled when she decided to drop back down and visit, and there had to be a “sprinkle” for her if no other reason to let her know how much she and the baby were loved. So it was entirely fitting that our event be all about “baby LOVE.”  I baked 5 different { Read More! }
