Halloween Day 20: Mood Lighting

Halloween is a great excuse to break out your candle stash to create a little atmosphere – creepy, macabre, gothic, fun…there are so many ways to make some wax and a wick work for your decor. Entertain Exchange posted this DIY idea to create a little mood lighting for some Gothic Glam candle holders for her upcoming Halloween Party (you can see her last gothic party here!) Easy to do, and she went shopping at the dollar store for the glassware!

Martha Stewart has step by step instructions and templates for several different hanging luminaries – use the battery operated candles for these!

Crafts by Amanda gives another reason to upcycle old jars…to make these precious painted pumpkin luminaries! Get the full tutorial here.

Not Just Decorating created these Pottery Barn – inspired luminaries out of peanut butter jars and printed clip art, which she shares here.
