Banana bread was something I used to make out of necessity at my house. When we first got married, my husband would buy big bunches of bananas and then pretend like he was going to eat them…so of course we always had big bunches of black bananas on the counter. After a while I did wise up, because I did (finally) figure out he was just doing that so I’d make my banana bread recipe for him. It worked out, as I had the perfect excuse to refine my banana bread recipe over all those years–19 if you’re counting.

Were your bananas ripe, and did you maybe bake it too long? I've never ever heard this recipe coming out dry.

I've been making this for my small business and people love them....thank you! One question, I can't seem to get them to brown on top like yours in the picture but they are done. I'm scared to cook much longer because I don't want them to be dry.. what am I doing wrong?

My husband loves banana bread. I saved this recipe many years ago. I’ve made this recipe and I’ve tried some others over the years but I always come back to this one. It’s just like we like it. I really think this is the The Best Banana Bread!
