Sprinkled Snack Cake Hearts for Valentine’s Day

Sprinkle heart dessert cakes

On Valentine’s Day, or any holiday for that matter, it’s good to have a cute dessert up your sleeve that’s quick and easy. This little dessert is so simple, not to mention super fast to assemble, you’ll want to make it for every holiday! All you’ll need to do is change the shape of your cookie cutter and the color of your sprinkles. Originally seen in our Puppy Love Valentine’s Day Party, there’s only two ingredients and a cookie cutter between you an Valentine treat greatness.

Materials:

  • Little Debbie snack cakes–we used Fudge Rounds and Cocoa Rounds
  • Red and pink sprinkles
  • Heart shaped cookie cutters

Making these is a no brainer. Unwrap the snack cake, put it on a flat surface and punch it out with your cookie cutter. Gently pull the heart from the cookie cutter. Dip the edges of the hearts in the sprinkles, gently pressing them into the sides so they stick. And you’re done! My kids love little Little Debbies and everything tastes better with sprinkles–so these were a huge hit around here. Hope they will be at your house, too!

Meet Paula

My father came home from a trip for work when I was a little girl toting a huge (to me) book of fairy tales. I was instantly smitten with the beautiful illustrations and the stories that came alive from those worn pages. My favorite was always the frog prince…my mother read it to me over and over (and over.) Read More…
