Halloween is still my favorite holiday after 40 (or so) years. In the last few of those years, this idea of trunk or treat that gathers lots of people safely in one place to allow kids to trick or treat is one I just LOVE. Because, decorations and prizes for the best trunk. I may be a little competitive.
If you’re like me and want to get the edge on the other trunks to win that blue ribbon, or if you just need a place to start to put together a trunk (!) I’ve got a collection of ideas that are pretty neat to help inspire you, as part of this year’s Trunk or Treat blog hop!
MINECRAFT TRUNK OR TREAT IDEAS
If you missed the last post, you’ll want to see this one! Minecraft characters in large scale decorate this trunk–creepers, enderman, pumpkins, spiders, and a few boxes of TNT make it super creepy and all fun.
THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE TRUNK IDEAS
Trunks can be themed with ANYTHING. Really really loving this take on the classic book by Tikkido.com–and that lion! Costumes really make the set! Click here to see the photos.
SILLY MONSTER TRUNK OR TREAT IDEAS
Remember what I said about costumes making the trunk? Keisha from Cupcake Wishes & Birthday dreams killed it with this display! See more here.
BIG TOP TERROR TRUNK OR TREAT IDEAS
Not all trunks have to be sweet! You can do spooky just as easily, as Michelle’s Party Plan-It has done. It’s full of fun details you can see here.
EGYPTIAN TOMB TRUNK OR TREAT IDEAS
Fern and Maple is a New Zeland transplant just getting into the swing of the Halloween holiday, but she’s done a pretty spectacular job of owning trunk or treat displays! She used one of her favorite movie series as a stepping off point, and ended up with tons of fun details for her trunk. See them all here.
DAY OF THE DEAD TRUNK OR TREAT IDEAS
Sugar skulls and bright colors are extremely eye catching, and the perfect touch on Hey Girl! Events’ Day of the Dead trunk. See the whole display here.
CITY MORGUE TRUNK OR TREAT IDEAS
For those that like a bit more ghoulish…this City Morgue trunk is perfect. It’s a quick set up trunk with large amounts of spooky! See all the details at Everyday Party here.
