For our Minecraft Trunk or Treat display (see it here), we came up with a fun way to give out Halloween candy that went along with our Minecraft theme. The materials for this Minecraft party favor are nothing more than a recycled cardboard, red tissue paper and a free printable you’ll find in this post. I wouldn’t save this idea JUST for Halloween, it would be great at any Minecraft party you happen to be crafting up!
What are you waiting for? Let’s get started!
TNT Minecraft Party Favor Materials:
- 5 inch cardboard tubes (toilet paper tubes are the perfect size!)
- Red tissue paper
- Candy or other small Mincraft toys (like these)
- Free printable TNT labels
Some people get gacked out by using empty toilet paper rolls. If this is you, cut a sheet of cardstock in half vertically and roll it into a tube. Use a piece of tape (or whatever your favorite adhesive is) to adhere it in place.
Open up your tissue paper. Cut a few sheets in half the long way, we’ll cut them to size next. You’ll want to cut the tissue paper down to be 2-3 inches wider than your roll, as seen in the photo above.
Once you have all your little red rectangles, it’s simply a matter of rolling the tubes up in them. You can use a piece of tape to keep them shut if you want.
On one end, fold in the paper to seal the hole closed. You can use tape here, but I found a spot of hot glue on the last flap to be much more effective.
Set your red-wrapped and sealed tube upright and stuff it with candy.
Fold over the other end to seal the candy inside, and finish off with a spot of hot glue or tape.
Print the TNT wrap file (download here) and cut out all the labels. Wrap the sealed tubes with the TNT label and tape down.
And that’s it! It only takes a minute or two for each Minecraft party favor, and they’re a spectacular and inexpensive addition to a Halloween trunk or Minecraft party!

My kids love MINECRAFT! We had a MINECRAFT party a couple years ago, this would have been such a great party favor. #HomeMattersParty

My son happened to walk in the room the same time I was looking at this and thought this was a great idea. He's a huge Minecraft fan. This would certainly add to someone's party.
Thank you for sharing this with us on the #HomeMattersParty. We hope to see you again when we open our doors at 12 AM EST on Friday.
