Creative Christmas Card Family Photos

Yes, I’m one of those. I make crazy Christmas cards every year to send out that are a little silly, and really just meant to give our friends and family a good chuckle. Last year, a couple of uncooperative children made for one of my favorite cards ever. This year, I was able to convince my darling husband into the photo. Good man, that one…although it did take him a few years to recover from the last family Christmas card picture experience. I probably won’t have another chance to do this for a few more years again!

For a fun family Christmas photo, this wasn’t so hard to put together. I bought a $15 wedding dress and a flower girl dress on eBay and sewed some big black pom-poms to the front. I wrapped the yarn around my hand and tied the bundle in the middle to make poms big enough. My husband donned his tux, and I picked up a cheap tuxedo for my little man–but this is also his Christmas outfit. He loves it, as the girls (of all ages) swoon over him in his dapper little suit.  Add a few top hats bought on the cheap on Amazon and you have our snow family, all set to make another year’s Christmas memories.

From my family to yours, I sincerely hope you have a wonderful Christmas. I really appreciate you, my readers, and look forward to another fantastic and fun year!

Meet Paula

My father came home from a trip for work when I was a little girl toting a huge (to me) book of fairy tales. I was instantly smitten with the beautiful illustrations and the stories that came alive from those worn pages. My favorite was always the frog prince…my mother read it to me over and over (and over.) Read More…
