Happy Birthday to Us!

That’s right. I went and forgot our first birthday…which happened sometime around March 13th! Looking back a year, it’s hard to believe I took those first baby steps to starting my own business after so many years of entertaining and designing, and even harder to believe how different life is from this time last year. It hasn’t always been easy, and there’s been plenty of sacrifice along the way, but I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world!

It humbles me to think just how many people we’ve helped with their celebrations, the over twelve hundred people following along with frog prince on Facebook and Twitter, and that I have such fabulous designers and contributors like Ashley, Courtney and Carrie helping me along.

It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to meet and work with  people the world over. I am constantly amazed by the creativity of the mommas I work with and the true willingness of the “party people” to give each other a hand up and help out. All of it is truly a wish come true!

I’ve given a lot of thought as to how to celebrate this big milestone, and I decided to celebrate with something very special that is not offered anywhere else. I am giving away one birthday in a box for 10 handcrafted by yours truly in the pattern of your choice from my store. Special, because I don’t sell these  – a priceless handcrafted with love prize for one of  my valued readers! In the box will come:

  • 10 5×7 invitations
  • One “Happy Birthday Banner”
  • A dozen personalized cupcake toppers
  • A dozen cupcake wrappers
  • 10 favor tags
  • 10 thank you notes
  • …and maybe a surprise or two!

So how do you enter? Make sure you follow me on facebook, twitter, or here on my blog. I’ve had a wish come true–I want to hear about yours! For an extra entry, tell me what kind of birthday wish you might have made as a kid…and don’t be surprised if you see your wish show up in a party later! I’ll announce a winner chosen at random on April 11th.

I want everyone to have a chance to have a little celebration with me, so I’m also offering a 15% discount in my store through Wednesday, April 6th with the code FPPBDAY. I truly appreciate every one of you out there!

My one wish was to have a child and after several hard years of trying I gave up to only be amazingly blessed with a son :-)!
As a little girl I was obsessed with Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake!! The whole color scheme of each-so bright and cheerful. Then there were even dolls that smelt like lemons and strawberries :-)! Would have love that bright look at a party!

My childhood birthday wish was to be best friends with all the animals in my backyard…kind of like Snow White and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) were!

Happy birthday Paula and gang! Yes, what an incredible year you’ve had. You constantly “wow” me with your parties. We can all see how much thought and love you put into each one of them.

As a kid, I dreamed about becoming an architect, and probably wished for LEGOS.

As a child I loved animals and dreamed of being a vet. I get to relive that dream through my daughter who now loves the same thing and has asked for a puppy themed party for her upcoming 5th birthday 🙂

Happy, happy blog birthday, Paula! I remember wishing, night after night, that I would come across an abandoned Toys R Us truck, and that all the toys would be mine. Hundreds of barbies. Thousands. There would be, of course, no stupid boy toys on this mysterious truck. My little brother would have to find his own miracle.

Meet Paula

My father came home from a trip for work when I was a little girl toting a huge (to me) book of fairy tales. I was instantly smitten with the beautiful illustrations and the stories that came alive from those worn pages. My favorite was always the frog prince…my mother read it to me over and over (and over.) Read More…
