Morning Coffee Quotes Free SVGs

The three tier coffee bar I set up with morning coffee quotes for International Delight was one of my favorites ever! But I couldn’t have done most of it without a little help from my Cricut machine. I really want you to be able to replicate what I do here at home (it’s why I blog!), and it completely makes my day when I see your projects! Also, the flowers you see on the bar are all Cricut creations–but I’m going to send you to Lia Griffith to see how to make those.

To make these morning coffee quotes come to life as little art pieces, you are going to need a few cut files. The Springtime coffee bar had three separate coffee quote pieces, so read on to see them all.

Custom coffee mug cricut project

I couldn’t be a huger fan of the snarky coffee mug, but for this display I chose clever instead. The mugs all have different names for coffee on them–java, morning brew, cup of joe, coffee and cups. As a bonus, I threw in a label for your sugar bowl, too! Affiliate links ahead.

Materials

If you are using a Cricut machine to cut the vinyl out for these, you will have to do a little work in Design Space to get the file to cut in a way that conserves your foil material.

After you upload the svg to Design Space, insert it onto your canvas. The words will be all grouped together at this point. Ungroup the words, the highlight each word and meld the individual words together. Resize each word to be three inches long. This is about as big as you can put wording on a normal sized coffee mug and still have it legible at a glance. With this little bit of work, you should only have to use about 2×12 inches of adhesive foil.

Weed the words, put some transfer tape on atop, then stick the vinyl to your very clean coffee mug!

When you put of so many projects, most of them get recycled or gifted…but I am keeping this one for myself because I really do love it. I know some of you don’t have Cricut machines (go here and treat yourself, I swear you won’t regret it!) so I am also uploading this file for you as a pdf. In which case, download it here,  print, cut out and frame.

If you are using your Cricut machine, there are one or two more steps, but the gold foil look is what makes this so spectacular.

Materials

This is just another vinyl transfer job; upload the morning coffee quote svg into Design Space, cut it out, then use the transfer tape to stick the coffee quote to the white card stock.

Now, if you are capable of cutting around your quote in a perfect 8×10′ HIGH FIVES. I am not that talented. I printed out a 8×10 rectangle (download here), printed it to my white cardstock and used that as a reference for centering my lettering.

From there, cut out your rectangle and pop it into your frame! I loved my little Lia Griffith paper camellias to give the white frame a little pop  and match my coffee set.

Rise and grind sunshine morning coffee quote art

This project was a little harder. Fair warning, it is going to be a trial to get foil onto your canvas, but the results are pretty cool.

No Cricut? No problem. Download the word art here for a 5×5 frame.

Materials

  • 5×5 canvas frame (or whatever square canvas die you choose.)
  • Cricut Gold foil iron-on (buy it here)
  • “Rise and Grind Sunshine” free svg coffee quote art

Upload the svg to Design Space, and size it to 1/2 inch smaller than the canvas you are using and cut it out.

If you wanted to make this in 10×0, just make the SVG bigger! Don’t forget to mirror your image when you cut it out. Weed the cut.

I use a Cricut Easypress for my iron-Ons, and I seriously think it is the best thing since sliced gluten-free bread. If what you have is an iron, that works, too.

Warm up the space with your iron first. 30 seconds or so will do it! Place your iron on decal on the canvas and press it for a minute and a half or so at 305 degrees. Mileage may very here, you want foil melting into the canvas so if it takes you a few more presses for that to happen, it takes a few more.

This is where it gets a little on the hard side. I had to consult Cricut expert myself on how to do this. The foil WILL go on the canvas, it is just going to take some convincing.

You are going to haves to scratch the foil with your fingernail or a blunt object to get it to transfer to the canvas. Be persistent, it’ll get on there! Peel up the carrying plastic and your artwork is done.

Do the whole party or use one or two to make your space awesome. Let me know how you use them!
