Paw Patrol Party Hat

One of the fun parts of having a character party is getting into character! For the Paw Patrol Party we threw (see it here), we put together some fun Paw Patrol Party Hats using some pretty inexpensive items. These match the characters Rubble (construction dog) and Marshall (fire dog).

How to Make a Rubble Paw Patrol Party Hat

If you’re one that doesn’t want to leave the house (like me) and prefers to Amazon Prime all your supplies, I’ve got the affiliate links below for the things I bough to make these hats. Just click around, and you’ll have your materials in 1-2 business days. If (the horror) you want to go scour the stores, I’ve spotted the construction hats at Hobby Lobby.

Materials:

  • Inexpensive plastic construction hat (buy them here)
  • Full sheet labels (buy them here)
  • Paw Patrol Shield free printable (PDF hand cut or SVG for Cricut)
  • Brown craft paper
  • Clear packing tape

Assembly:

Print the Paw Patrol Shield free printable to the full sheet labels. If you’ve got a Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker, this file is great for print and cut! If you don’t have a machine to do it for you, cut out the shields with a pair of scissors.

Pop one of the shields on the front of the hat.

You can either freehand cut the ears out (it’s pretty easy) or use this svg file on your Cricut to make the ear cutting process go faster.

Tape the ears with the packing tape to the inside of the helmet. And you’re done! It’s a pretty speedy project (i.e. doable) to complete.

How to Make a Marshall Paw Patrol Party Hat

Again, Amazon Prime is your friend. I had my hats to me overnight after I ordered them!

Materials:

  • Inexpensive plastic fireman hat (buy them here)
  • Full sheet labels (buy them here)
  • Paw Patrol Shield free printable (PDF hand cut or SVG for Cricut)
  • Black and white cardstock
  • Clear packing tape

Assembly:

I was on a roll this day…and the videos are less than a minute, so totally watchable. In a few images, here’s how to make the Marshall Paw Patrol Party Hat. There’s the written version after if you need it!

Print the Paw Patrol Shield free printable to the full sheet labels. If you’ve got a Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker, this file is great for print and cut! If you don’t have a machine to do it for you, cut out the shields with a pair of scissors.

The fireman hats already had a sticker on them, so I used a little Windex to remove them. They were on there to stay, so this did take a little elbow grease. After the offensive stickers are gone, pop one of the shields on the front of the hat.

You can either freehand cut the ears out (it’s pretty easy) or use this svg file on your Cricut to make the ear cutting process go faster. Freehand cut the spots out of the black paper and use a glue stick to stick them on. i

Tape the ears with the packing tape to the inside of the helmet.

Place helmets on tiny tot heads and you’ll have the perfect complement to a Paw Patrol Party!

Meet Paula

My father came home from a trip for work when I was a little girl toting a huge (to me) book of fairy tales. I was instantly smitten with the beautiful illustrations and the stories that came alive from those worn pages. My favorite was always the frog prince…my mother read it to me over and over (and over.) Read More…
