{Tutorial} Gift Card Wrapping – Superchick Style

Last week, Genevieve, aka Superchick, from Celebrate Today…the Superchick Way was fabulous enough to ask me to do a little guest post here on her blog. I asked if she’d like to return the favor, and I am SO glad she did!! Not only is Superchick super entertaining to read, she can rock a craft project!  (Go follow her here or here. You’ll be glad you did.) These gift card photo cubes are brilliant. If you’ve got gift card giving you have to do this year, here is the gorgeous packaging to go with it. Take it away Superchick!

Happy day lovelies!  Genevieve here from Celebrate Today …the superchick way!  (www.celebrate2da.com)  What an honor it is to be “hijacking” Paula’s FANTABULOUS blog!   I’m super stoked!  TY TY TY P!  =)

If you’re a crafter, you’ll totally appreciate this post, but if you’re not, you’ll think I’m on crack!   Lol

See, most of my ppl are getting cash and gift cards this year.  Lame?  Indeed!  But it’s what THEY want and I aim to please!  That said, I figured the least I could do was superchick their packaging!

Honestly, this idea is so simple, even a MAN could take it on!  OK, maybe not a man but definitely a kid!  HeeHee

Like most of my crazy ideas, this one hit me like a flying brick!

Ok rockstars, you ready?!  Cuz it’s time to get your clever on!

A pic cube with a secret stash!

Perfect for gift cards, cash, jewelry and anything little!

BONUS:  Once the actual gift has come and gone, kids are totally gonna love having a “secret” vessel to hide their treasures in!  Who would EVER think to look inside a pic cube?!

No joke, when I realized I could hide my gift cards inside this plastic “box” the room seriously started spinning!  I was THAT excited!

You could def insert actual pics, but I chose to kick it up a notch!  (Shocker I know!)

I downloaded some GORGEOUS printable papers/party circles designed by Paula for A Few of My Favorite Things! (Treat yourself to the story behind these printables… totally heartwarming!) Download them here.

I digress…!!!  Focus G, focus!!!

Printables were FREE, and I found the photo cube at my local craft store for $1!

How freakin HOT is this package?!!!  Dying here!

How to: Cut, stick, done!

I didn’t measure a thang cuz I’m a wild child but please do if you’re twitching at the thought of eyeballing it!  lol

Superchick Tip: Bling out your final product with a must have rhinstone or deco pearl!

Superchick “extra creative” Tip: Think “outside the box” (lmao  I kill me!!!), use “Basket “shred”  or tinsel in lieu of tissue paper!

D. O. N. E.  DONE!  Whoop!  Whoop!   I got me some insanely clever packages for my not so clever gifts!
